HANDS in Autism
HANDS in Autism® is a training and resource center that builds “local capacity” to help individuals with autism and their families find ways to address their concerns and thrive—in concert with any services they receive—in their communities.
HANDS in Autism® is committed to fostering new partnerships across the globe. Around the world, autistic people are at increased risk for behavioral and psychiatric disorders (up to 70.8% have at least one co-existing diagnosis and 41% have two or more). This can place autistic individuals at increased risk for punitive or restrictive treatment and without adequate access to appropriate services or trained providers.
