Global Health Scholars Day 2024

The IU Center for Global Health Equity annual Scholars Day brings together faculty, staff & trainees engaged in global health work from across the research, service and education missions.  


6th Annual Global Health Scholars Day

May 10, 2024

Global Health Scholars Day, on Friday, May 10, showcased the excellent work being done by the IU community to improve the care of patients worldwide, research the complexities of global health, and educate learners about the care of local and global populations.

The day began with a global health focused edition of Medicine Grand Rounds featuring Virginia Caine, MD, Director of the Marion County (Indianapolis) Public Health Department and Associate Professor of Medicine at IU School of Medicine.

Global Health Scholars Day 2019-2024

John Humphrey, MD, MS, presented his poster “Associations between HIV/ART exposure during pregnancy and adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the MANGO cohort in Kenya.”

The annual Global Health Scholars Day event gives faculty, residents and students the chance to network and share their interests in global health.
Dr. Megan Duffey, Dr. Katherine Soe and Dr. Anna Gillio received top honors for their global health posters in 2021.
Dr. Jenny Baenziger leads Global Health Scholars Day which featured seven presenters in 2021.
